Who Are We?

Our Vision

Our vision is to be a community of secure believers who are glorifying God and who are being transformed into Christ’s likeness as evidenced by vibrant, authentic worship, a vigorous holy life style, and sharing of the vital life-saving message of Christ.

Our Mission

As empowered by God’s Spirit, our mission is to build a community of faithful believers who are engaged in God-glorifying, heart-felt worship and are being transformed into the fullness of Christ’s image. Transformation includes sacrificial service to our family of believers and sacrificial service of drawing all to Christ.

Our Structure

Our church is structured and functions much like the early church of the New Testament. Kingswood Parke is an independent church that seeks to be totally allegiant to the leadership of Christ and to center our belief and practices on His life and teachings.

We have a group of leaders that Christ calls “Pastors” or “Elders” who are directed by Christ to guide and shepherd our church (Ephesians 4:11; I Peter 5:1-2). We also have an “Evangelist” who leads the church through ministering and teaching the Word of God (Ephesians 4:11). In addition, Kingswood Parke is blessed with a group of servants that the Bible calls “Deacons” who are appointed to focus on specific church activities (I Timothy 3:8).

We’re also a very diverse family with a variety of ages, races, social and economic backgrounds. And we celebrate our diversity because it brings great strength to our family. Because we truly believe in the equality of Christ’s family, every diverse person in our church is of equal value in God’s sight and very significant to the continued success and growth of Christ’s Church.

Our Beliefs

We acknowledge that there are certain issues that God does not make completely clear for all believers. However, we believe that there are some solid and clear foundational principles to which we must adhere. Our church strongly believes that God has communicated His complete will for us through inspired writers, and these heavenly concepts were compiled into a collection of books that we call the Bible.

We believe that our renewed relationship with God is based wholly on the redemptive work that Christ accomplished in His life, death and resurrection—God then proclaiming Him as Lord over the universe. Therefore, it is our conviction that all who seek God will find Him through faith in Jesus based on this gift of His grace (Romans 3:21-26). We also believe that the Lord clearly teaches that this response of faith includes the new birth of water and the Spirit (John 3:1-6; Acts 2:36-41).

Finally, we believe that our Savior expects His Spirit-filled disciples to worship and fellowship one another in a loving community and to imitate Him in leading exemplary lives until He calls us to inherit our eternal heavenly rewards (I Peter 1:13-15). We invite you to join us in our earthly journey toward this eternal reward.
