Thank you for visiting our website!  You may be asking yourself, "Who are these people and what do they believe?"  Well, we're people just like you, our demographic ranges from newborns to nearly 100 as well as all socio-economic and racial backgrounds in between.  Granted, we are different in many ways, but we are all one by the blood of Jesus Christ.  We believe that our diversity is our strength.  There is a place and a ministry for everyone here at Surprise Church of Christ -- there's a place for YOU!

As the city of Surprise and the greater Phoenix metro grows, we expect to grow with it.  With the spirit-led leadership of our Shepherds and Deacons combined with our dedicated ministry team, Surprise Church of Christ offers you and your family strong Bible-based teaching in a fun and inviting family environment that has relevance to your everyday life.

Here are some of the basics of what we believe:

• We believe the Bible to be the only infallible, authoritative Word of God.
  
• We believe that there is only one God, eternally existent in three persons: Father, Son and Holy Spirit.
  
• We believe in the deity of our Lord Jesus Christ, in His virgin birth, in His sinless life, in His miracles, in His vicarious and atoning death through His shed blood, in His bodily resurrection, in His ascension to the right hand of the Father, and in His personal return in power and glory to judge mankind.
  
• We believe that for the salvation of lost and sinful man, regeneration by the Holy Spirit is absolutely essential. -- That confession of Christ as Lord, repentance from sin, and baptism are essential elements of faith that result in forgiveness of sins (salvation, redemption, regeneration, new birth).
  
• We believe in the present ministry of the Holy Spirit, by whose indwelling the Christian is enabled to live a godly life in obedience to the Scriptures.
  
• We believe in the resurrection of both the saved and lost; they that are saved to the resurrection of eternal life and they that are lost to the resurrection of eternal condemnation.
• We believe in the spiritual unity of obedient believers in our Lord Jesus Christ.  -- A unity based on the facts of "one body and one Spirit, just as also you were called in one hope of your calling; one Lord, one faith, one baptism, one God and Father of all who is over all and through all and in all" (Ephesians 4:4-6).
